Training Tracks

Why a training program?

Paul writes to Timothy, “Train yourself for godliness” (1 Tim. 4:7). He often borrows language both from the military and from the world of athletics to convey the intensity and intentionality that we must bring to our spiritual training. Paul, likewise, urges Timothy, “What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also” (2 Tim. 2:2). Paul recognized that planting churches involves training people to lead those churches.

The SRCC training program is our attempt at obeying these commands. It is our hope that future ministry leaders, deacons, elders, missionaries, and church planting teams will come from this training program.

Who can register?

New cohorts begin every semester. Once the semester starts, these cohorts function as closed learning communities that hold one another accountable to fulfill the responsibilities of the track. Spring and Fall participants must be active members of St. Rose Community Church.

What are the expectations?

Participants must purchase books on the syllabus and plan to read approximately 50 pages per week. Participants must also attend and participate in no less than 70% of the bi-weekly gatherings in order to get the certificate for track completion.
