SRCC Training

Why train?

What is SRCC Training?

Paul writes, “Train yourself for godliness” (1 Tim 4:7). He often borrows language from both the military and from the world of athletics to convey the intensity and intentionality that we should bring to our spiritual training. We are all called to make disciples, to give a defense for the hope that is in us, and to build up the body of Christ here and abroad. To do so, we need training.
SRCC Training is St. Rose Community Church’s theological training and leadership development program. Each semester at least two core classes will be offered and at least one elective will be offered at 8:30 AM on Sunday mornings.
If you take a core class each semester for three years, you will have completed the SRCC Training core curriculum. It is recommended that you begin with our beginner courses, but it is not required. Here are the courses that will be offered this year.

Spiritual Formation

We are called to know and enjoy a relationship with God, but how? Three seemingly unremarkable principles shape and strengthen the Christian life: listening to God's voice, speaking to him in prayer, and joining with his people as the church.  In this class, we will grow together as we seek to more faithfully pursue these habits of grace.
